Islamabad: October 23, 2016. (PCP) Supreme Court of Pakistan Judge Iqbal Hameedur Rehman resigned today in a handwritten letter addressed to President of Pakistan without stating any specific reasons on his resignation. Mr. Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman came in limelight when he refused to hear Asia Bibi appeal against her death sentence on accusation of blasphemy from lower court on October 13, 2016. Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman was member of 3 Judges Bench who was formed by Chief Justice of Pakistan to hear Asia Bibi appeal.
