Security Hazards of Blasphemy Victim Nadeem Masih in Trial Court

Jhelum, Pakistan: September 20, 2016. (PCP) Riaz Anjum and Kashif Nemat advocates High court who are lawyers of Nadeem masih S/O James Masih victim of blasphemy law of 295C PPC in sarai Alamgeer disstt Gujrat submitted a application on 20 September 2016 in which they requested the court of Ali Zulqarnan Awan additional session judge to conduct the trail of this case in jail instead of before this learned Trial court . It is pertinent to mention that both Lawyers are representing Nadeem Masih on behalf of HFO Human Friends Organization headed by Sajid Christopher. Both lawyers pleaded that Nadeem Masih is facing accusation of extremely sensitive nature and it is being witnessed on each and every date that some unknown extremist faces are continuously watching entire situation that have no concern with this case. It is further argued that accused person belongs to Christian community and some Christians who were the accused of Blasphemy laws were murdered in trial courts in past. Lawyers pleaded that life of their client is extremely at stake due to insecurity in trial court. Lawyers pleaded that they are also feeling insecure in open court as religious passions of locals are involved in this case of Blasphemy. They further argued that jail trial is much convenient and it would be effective so as to reach a just and fair decision. it is further argued that legal team of this case are feeling insecure in an open place of trial court. After hearing arguments Judge admitted the application and next date 26/9/2016 will be final arguments on application.
