Muslim feudal lord grabbing Church land near Alipur Chatha

Gujranwala: July 28, 2016. (PCP) Muslim landlord have vandalized and snatched land of St. Mark’s Church in Syed Nagar village near Alipur Chatha in district Gujranwala. According to reports, St. Marks had land of one Canal which is reduced now to area of 3-4 Marlas because influential Muslim land lord have snatched the land of Church. The Church administrators filed a petition in Lahore High Court on incident of land grabbing by one Muslim Rana Zulfiqar and his nephew Rana Asim but instead of court orders have built brick-fence to occupy church property. St. Mark Church property belong to Catholic Church of Pakistan and door for justice in knocked by them on every level but none is ready to extend support on fear of influential Muslims who have deep contacts with leadership of ruling party in Punjab province of Pakistan. The Muslim leaders of Punjab ruling party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) have been involved in grabbing Church properties and making fake sale deeds to occupy valuable Church lands in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and other cities. The stay order was issued by Justice Mamoon Rashid of Lahore High Court in favor of St. Mark Church with reference no 2745-10 IN 17454-10 while Athar Bhinder Advocate pleaded case on behalf of Church administration. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has appealed to Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of St. Mark,s Church land grabbing by influential Muslims who have no respect for orders of higher courts in province.
