HYDERABAD: June 19, 2016. (By Abbas Kassar) People belonging to Christian community residing in Latifabad township of Hyderabad took out a protest demonstration from Old Campus to press club here Sunday against harassment of their women and girls. The protest was led by Nazir Masih, Boota Imtiaz, Mahmood Kala and Pervez Bhatti. They told media that workers of urban political party were chasing their women and girls and harassing them. They said on many occasions these street urchins chased their women to Christian colony and intruded into their homes. They told that the vandals also fired after entering their homes and when they (Christians) tried to stop them from harassing their women and girls, police instead of arresting culprits arrested men of Christian community and filed false cases against them. They made appeal to higher authorities to save them from vandalism of workers of political parties and release their arrested men by withdrawing cases against them. They said they were thinking of migrating from Latifabad.
