Lahore: May 17, 2016. (PCP) According to survey conducted by one NGO, only in Punjab province of Pakistan, 18 Christian girls were kidnapped on gunpoint and enforcedly converted to Islam and given as sex slaves to influential Muslim during months of April-May 2016. The First Information Reports FIR were registered in respective Police Stations under charges of kidnapping but none was charge sheeted and produced in court of law because charges were dropped during investigation when kidnappers produced certificates of conversion to Islam of these Christian girls and marriage to Muslim men by investigating Muslim police officers. In all these cases of kidnapped Christian girls , their parents were never provided opportunity by police to meets their daughters that they may reveal that what happened and weather they were pressured by kidnappers to marry Muslim men. Four women among these 18 Christian kidnapped and converted to Islam were married according to Christian marriage Act of Pakistan and had kids from Christian husbands who were also not brought face to face with their children and husband during investigation neither in police stations nor in court of law while according to ruling of Lahore High Court Lahore “Christian marriage do not dissolve on conversion to Islam or any religion” The kidnapping and enforcedly conversion of Christian girls in Punjab province of Pakistani to risen after “Fatwa” by Muslim Mullahs on Pakistani Electronic media that “Islam permits Muslim man to keep non-Muslim women as mistresses and perform sex with them without marriage while he is married to Muslim woman” The Constitution of Pakistan protect Christian marriage Act but Pakistani Mullah claims that after conversion to Islam, the previous marriage stands null and void which protects kidnappers and police drops charges of kidnapping during investigation. On Thursday 12th May 2015, a 24 year old Christian woman was kidnapped whilst returning home from Exel Education School, an adult learning college in Bihar Colony, Lahore, and case was registered but like other 17 kidnaped Christian girls, it is also reported that this 18th Christian girl is also converted to Islam and given in marriage to a Muslim man. The abduction and enforced conversion to Islam of Christian women in Punjab province of Pakistan have created grave concerns among Christians. There are incidents of kidnapping and enforced conversion of Hindu girls in Sindh province of Pakistan like Christians in Punjab.
