AMP workers convention vows to launch struggle for SCP orders. J Salik

Lahore: May 14, 2016. (PCP) Convener World Minorities Alliance and Organizer Awami Maseeha Party Mr. J Salik held a “Workers Convention” in Lahore to announce the future agenda of Awami Maseeha Party about the implementation in the parliament on the decision of 5th August, 2015 of Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding minorities’ election, many workers and pastors from all over the Punjab participated in the conference. The event took place on Saturday 14th May, 2016 at National Council of Churches in Pakistan, 32B, Fatima Jinnah Avenue, Mazzang Chungi Chawk (Ubqri Dawakhana Street) Lahore. J Salik addressed on the occasion and said that I am quite happy to see you all after such a long time of twenty years and I am hoping that you will always be with me. He told that the matter of happiness is that after thirteen years of legal fight finally we have won the case regarding Pakistan gave the decision that election method for minorities is not right, their representatives should come through elections instead of selection as it shows that the minorities are second class citizen and it is discrimination, but unfortunately it is not even discussed in the Parliament of Pakistan even after 9 months and nine days of this decision. He said that our next step is the implementation on the decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan in the parliament and we can go to any extent for this. He said that parliament has to implement this decision so that poor can access their rights. After the convention J Salik lead the rally and which was ended at Shimla Pahari. The special prayer was offered on the occasion for the families of the workers who were died in the last twenty years.
