Sindh Soofi Sangat celebrate Christmas

HYDERABAD: December 27, 2015. (By Abbas Kassar) Sindh Soofi Sangat celebrates Christmas in front of press club here with homage to Hazrat Issa by candle vigil. The leaders of Sangat and civil society said their aim was to tell the world that Sindh was a tolerant society since centuries with having respect for all religions. The ceremony was attended by nationalist and social leader including Akash Mallah, Hanif Sagar Burdi, Punhal Saryo, Inderjeet Lohano, Nisar Khokhar, Ashraf Noonari, Mukhtiar Abbasi, Javed Soz Halai and others. They said Sindh has always rejected extremism and had warned the world that the extremists being nourished by you would one day strike throughout world and endanger the innocent lives through terrorism. They said Sindh was land of Soofis who preached peace and brotherhood and respect for all religions. They said today the extremism and terrorism was on its peak so much so that people were feeling fear even to celebrate their religious days. They said the aim of holding Christmas ceremony was to tell world that people of Sindh were peace loving. They said their message was of brotherhood and world peace.
