Bhopal : A group of antisocials lead by Yogesh Agrwal forced into St. John Lutheran Church at Jabalpur under the Gorakpur Police station area. The church was conducting a three day Bible workshop for its believers from today. This attack also needs to be looked at from the increasing attacks on the Christian community and the visit of the National Minorities commission to Madhya Pradesh. As soon as the programme started police reached on the spot for an enquiry into the programme and the details of the participants. Pastor Vijay Sethi of the church said, "the programme was trainging programme for the belivers on Bible and Christian living, it has nothing to do with conversion and baptism." The programme was attended by around 27 participants from different parts of Jabalpur. The Darma Raksha Sena leader said, "It is and attempt to convert and we object any sort of forced conversion." The police have taken the Christians to police station along with the antisocials. The Superintendent of Police Shri. Shrinivas Rao said, "the police have registered no case against any body so far and after recording the statements all the Christians have been set free." Fr. Anand Muttungal, Spokesperson for the catholic church, called it as a repetition of history, it was just yesterday the Chief Minister said that all community will be protected but even before his statement die down the hooligans at Jabalpur has taken law into their hands, what should we understand from this?" It is also to be noted that the National Commission for Minorities are already in Madhya Pradesh to enquir about the increasing attacks on the minorities very specially Christian minorities. It looks that the law and order of the state government is decided by the antisocial elements in Jabalpur. The local administration has not taken action against the antisocial elements.
