CCA celebrate Canada Day

Toronto: July 4, 2015. (PCP) Canadian Christian Association (CCA), held a Canada Day Celebration program, on July 1, 2015, at Bhojan Bhandar Restaurant in Woodbridge, Ont., with special guests: Bishop of Lahore, Rt. Rev. Irfan Jamil, and former MPA from Punjab, Eng. Shazad Elahi. The program started with the welcoming remarks by Prof. Obaid Chaudry, CPA, CMA, CA, (past president of CCA) , followed by the opening prayer by Pastor Raj Dass. Mr. John Gill, Eng., MBA, president CCA, and member of the EAC to the office of Religious Freedom, also welcomed and thanked the guest for attending the program, especially the guests of honor, past presidents of CCA, community leaders, and pastors. Subsequent to that, the Canadian National Anthem was played and special speech about Canada Day was made by Ruby Chaudry. Bishop Irfan Jamil cut the Canada Day cake, and prayed for Canada and its leadership. Bishop Irfan Jamil, and Eng. Shazad Elahi also spoke at the event, and updated the situation in Pakistan. CCA is very grateful to Mr. Noel Chaudhry, Mr. Shahzad Qadir, and Mr. Ephraim Roger Sampson, for their help to make this program a great success. Moreover, CCA appreciates the continued tremendous support from the community, pastors, and community leaders.
