ISLAMABAD: June 12, 2015. (PCP) The Senate continued debate on a motion to make recommendations to the National Assembly on Finance Bill, 2015 during 6th sitting of 116th session on Friday, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) in its Daily Factsheet.
Seven lawmakers, including two from PTI, followed by one each of PML-N, PPPP, JUI-F, ANP and an Independent legislator, debated the Annual Budget statement for 87 minutes (63 % of proceedings’ time).
Starting at the scheduled time, the Senate sitting witnessed low attendance of legislators as 15 members (14%) were present at the start and 32 (31%) at the end of the sitting.
While, Twenty lawmakers participated in the debate on Federal Budget 2015-16 during 6th sitting of the 23rd session of Lower House on Friday, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) in its Daily Factsheet.
The National Assembly continued witnessing thin attendance of legislators as the Prime Minister, Opposition Leader and the Finance Minister did not attend the sitting.
