Toronto: May 19, 2015. (PCP) Canadian Christian Association (CCA) held a festival to celebrate the Victor Day on Saturday May 16, 2015 in Oakville, Ont., The program started with the opening remarks by Prof. Obaid Chaudry, CPA, CMA, CA, (past president of CCA) about the program, followed by the opening prayer by Mr. Bennett Shazad. The Festival included the following activities: Boys 15 and under Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Three-Point and Free-Throws Championship Contest, Mixed Gender Volleyball – Fun games and Adult and Youth Basketball – Fun game
Mr. John Gill, Eng., MBA, and president CCA, welcomed all the teams and the guests. In addition, he emphasized the opportunity to network and to have fun. All the matches were very exciting and provided an excellent opportunity for teamwork, cooperation, networking, and to have fun. Woodbridge team, led by Emmanuel Chaudry, won the Boys 15 and under basketball tournament, Evangelical Asian Church (EAC), led by Nabeel Gill, was placed second, and Don Mills team led by Nathan Daniel, placed third. Isaiah Khokhar won the Three-Point contest, and J. Smith won the Free-Throws contest. Woodbridge team, led by Ruby Chaudry won the Girls Volleyball tournament, and Etobicoke team, led by Anna Saramallow, was placed second. Trophies were given to various teams and individuals also. CCA is very grateful to Mrs. Farzana Shariq, Mr. Nedeem Khokhar, Mr. Shawn Chaudry, and Mr. Samuel Chaudry for their help in officiating the games, and. Moreover, it is grateful to Mr. Ephraim Roger Sampson for managing the Scoreboard, and Mr. Daniel Niamat, Mr. Shahzad Qadir, Mr. Bert Dean, and Mr. Noel Chaudry for their help.
CCA would also like to thank all the participants, volunteers, and supporters, who helped with the tournament, and made it a mega success.
