60 killed in Shaia mosque bomb blast in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR/LARKANA: January 30, 2015. (By Nazir Siyal) At least 60 devotees were killed while more than sixty seriously injured in the bomb blast occurred at the Central Imam Bargah Karbala Maula near Lakhi-Gate clock tower chowk here on Friday at 1:45 PM when about 200 hundered Shia Muslims were listening Khutiba-e-Juma during Juma prayers. After deadly blast, a contingent of Police party and Rangers rushed to the place of incident and controlled over the situation, the officials told that unknown body limbs legs and head was also recovered on the spot, the police and rangers cordoned off the area and started rescue services on the occasion. Eyewitness injured persons, they told blast rocked out with huge bang and we fainted soon after bomb blast the roof of Imam Bargha (Masjid) was also collapsed down, in which many persons were also came under the debris, later they rescued all the injured from the debris which caused more death of some peoples. Thus 50 persons were died on the spot and over 50 persons seriously injured among shifted to Larkana, Sukkur, Pano Aqil and few minor injured at Shikarpur civil hospital, where no one staff was available and the mobile vans/Ambulances were out of order told the sources. The injured and the dead bodies were sent to Civil Hospital Shikarpur on self help basis by the activists of Shia organizations and volunteers of various social welfare agencies, religious and political organizations’ workers thronged to private motor rickshaw, motorcycles and private vehicles on the time. Sources also told that several police constables personals were also martyred in a blast, which the 6 to 7 kg bag was brought in the Imam Bargah by unknown told Deputy Commissioner Hadi Bux Zardari during rescue services. DC Shikarpur has also announced a holiday tomorrow and all other activities suspended by the different organizations. Later three ambulances reached on the place of incident and used to take the injured to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment while some 20 ambulances reached from Edhi Centre, Government hospitals Jacobabad, Larkana, Sukkur and Al-Khidmat foundation Shikarpur Sukkur, Rohri and other cities on the spot for taking patients from the place of incident towards Civil Hospital Shikarpur. The emergency was declared in Civil Hospital Shikarpur and all the doctors were called at Hospital to cover the situation as well as the private doctors were also called for help to tackle situation, with provision of medical treatment to the injured peoples. Due to non availability of due doctors and life saving medicines as well as sick management of keeping the patients in hospital more than 48 patients were immediately referred to the Larkana Chandka Medical College Hospital and Ghulam Muhammad Medical College Hospital Sukkur for further medical treatment after providing them medical first aid. While 02 injured were kept in Civil Hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment due to having simple injuries. Among 07 of the 50 injured persons were succumbed to their injuries at Sukkur and Larkana Hospitals. And thus 60 deaths of the victims of bomb blast incident occurred told the sources. According to DSP bomb disposal scoured Mr. Tahir Malik that 05 to 07 Kg substance of explosive material was expected to be utilized in bomb blast incident which was kept in some plastic shaper or a bag in place of incident. Those killed in the bomb blast incident were identified as Sabir, Adil Sheikh, Sono Sheikh, Hassan Shah, Shabab Hyder Abbassi, Ali Naqivi, Usman Sheikh, Arshad Shah, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Pir Bux Mangi, Khair Muhammad Jaffari, Suhail Ahmed, Azad Bablani, Irshad Bablani, Moor Bukejo, Dr. Javeed Shah, Zahid Channa, Khalid Gul Hajano, Zanwar Shah, Waheed Abro, Naveed Mughanhar, Khadim Hussain ASI, Sanaullah, Hajji Bashir, Faisal Sheikh, Raza Hussain Shah, Aqeel Ahmed Channa, Farhan Channa, Fazal Abbass Channa, Zuhaib Sanjrani, Mushtaq Soomro, Iraan Shah, Pervaiz Shah, Aushan Sheikh, Babar Ali, Imdad Channa, Noor Ahmed and others while the names of the injured were declared as Imam Bux, Abid Hussain, Saqib, Hajji, Sikandar Ali, Naveed ahmed, Ghulam Abbas, Zahid Ali, Sanaullah, Liaquat Sanjrani, Shakeel Abbassi, Suhail Aijaz, Syed Ansar Ali Shah, Tanveer, Kashif Ali, Ali Mahar, Khair Muhammad, Sobhal, Hub Ali, Kashif Ali, Abdul Sammad, Salman, Allah Wadhayo, Abbass Ali, Okash Thaheem and others.
