HYDERABAD: November 12, 2014. (By Abbas Kassar) Bishop Hyderabad Church of Pakistan Kaleem John, councilor Masih, father John Gulzar,father Daniel, Imran and other leaders of Christian community have condemned the burning of Christian couple Shahzad Masih and Shama at Kot Radhakishen in Punjab few days back and demanded exemplary punishment to killers as also to revisit blasphemy law which they said was being used against Christians and other religious minorities in Pakistan and asked for amendment in this law. Addressing news conference here on Tuesday Bishop Kaleem said Pakistan at present was in grip of terrorism.Mosques, templels, churches, Imambargahs, Muharam Majalis or even the coffin processions were not safe in country Terrorists were striking everywhere to make law order to worst and spreading unrest by throwing deiad bodies of innocent people.He said due to increasing extremism and terrorism as well discriminatory laws Pakistan was getting bad name in whole world. He said the protection of minorities was responsibility of state. He said the religious extremists have launched undeclared war against minorities. He said a false blasphemy case was lodged against Christian girl Rimsha. Condemning Wagha incident of terrorism he said Kot Radhakishen was national tragedy under which their feelings have been tarnished. To a question they believe only in Pakistan of Jinnah and do not desire new Pakistan being talked by few politicians. He said they don’t want any commission on this tragedy but demand their protection and end of discriminatory laws.To another question he said they were against any Christian province in Pakistan and will continue to remain part of Pakistan unity.
