Four Christian Evangelists arrested in Pakistan on distrusting religious literature
Hyderabad, Sindh: May 18, 2014. (Sooba Bhatti) Four Christian Evangelists were arrested during distributing religious literature in District Mirpurkhas on 17th May 2014, at District Mirpurkhas when they were distributing religious literature through pamphlets and handbills at railway station Mirpurkhas. During distributing, they were arrested by Railway Police Mirpurkhas.
The incident was happened when Javed Jounis Masih and his wife, Nazia, and two women Rose Mary and Kiran (Belong to Yahawa Witness congregation) were distributing pamphlets at railway station and railway platform. Police reached on incident and arrested them when a worker of an Islamic organization, Ahl e Sunnat wal Jammat, informed police.
Police has registered a case against accused, U/S (295-A 298-506(II) and 34 PPC) ,Crime No-2 for dishonoring and disrespecting religion. The case is under investigation and accused have been transferred Hyderabad under tight security.
Tomorrow they will file Bail application in sessions court Mirpurkhas
