SHADE condemn Brutal Killing of Rashid Rehman

Hyderabad: May 10, 2014. (PCP) Society for Human Awareness, Development & empowerment (SHADE) in coloration with Human Rights commission of Pakistan – Hyderabad and Civil Society of Hyderabad arranged and conducted rally and strongly condemned the assassination of Human rights activist & Advocate Rashid Rehman Khan in Multan May 7, 2014. Mr. Rashid Rehman was getting life threats from the religious fundamentalists for appearing as a council for the accused under Pakistan’s Blasphemy Laws. The assassination of Rashid Rehman, an irreparable loss for the human rights struggle in Pakistan. “it is very shameful that despite open repeated threats to the life of Rashid Rehman, the state machinery responsible to provide safety and security remained unable to safe this great man’s life. The resource persons demanded that “the justice system of Pakistan should come forward and hold an impartial inquiry to expose that why Rashid Rehman was not provided security despite his repeated applications to the Punjab Police. We all Human rights Activists salute the struggle of Rashid Rehman Khan for human rights . May his soul rest in Peace.
