United Nation should take serious action to secure the rights of minorities. J Salik

Islamabad: April 7, 2014. (PCP) Convener World Minorities Alliance, Convener Overseas Assembly Pakistan, Former Federal Minister and Nominee for Nobel Peace Prize Dr. J Salik have said that it’s the basic responsibility of state to secure the rights of minorities. Whenever the rights of minorities got neglected, the situation become worst and serious results came out, he said. He said that the decision of dividing Philippine could be stopped if rights of Muslims be secured in Philippine. He said that the violation of rights of minorities were being practiced in Philippine from long time, and in the result, the declaration is signed to divide Philippine by government to make a separate independent country for Muslims. J Salik Said that it’s the common practice in all over the world that minorities are facing worst situation and lacking of facilities and violation of their rights is constantly being practiced. Minorities don’t have religious freedom in some countries and some are even not accepting their existence, he said. He said that so called secular country India don’t accept “Jain” the lower most cast in Hinduism as minority for 64 years of independence and the violation of their rights was being practiced for 64 year constantly but no one asked. He said that United Nation should take serious action to secure the rights of minorities in all over the world especially in democratic countries including Pakistan, to avoid the situation like Philippine. He said that UNO and all concerned organization should play their role tom secure the rights of minorities world wide.
