Jewish Defence League of Canada writes an open letter to Hon. Jason Kenny

To the attention of the Hon. Jason Kenney MP: For many years, the Jewish Defence League of Canada has provided the Federal Government with information about various groups operating in Canada that support terrorist organizations. On December 23rd, 2013, the Federal Court upheld the government's decision to deny funding to the Canadian Arab Federation (CAF). In his ruling, Justice Russel Zinn stated that: ....."Statements and actions reasonably lead one to the view that CAF appears to support organizations that Canada has declared to be terrorist organizations and which are arguably anti-Semitic." Some of the evidence provided stated: ....."The CAF's vice-president Ali Mallah also attended a conference in Cairo where Hamas and Hezbollah delegates were present". The Jewish Defence League of Canada would like to make it clear that this conference was sponsored by the Muslim Brotherhood as reported in May 8, 2007. (Canadian antiwar activists sat down with terror groups - Canada.com) According to conference literature, the main purpose of the gathering, sponsored by the officially banned Muslim Brotherhood and Egyptian opposition parties, was to forge "an international alliance against imperialism and Zionism." The Government of Egypt recently listed the Muslim Brotherhood as a Terrorist Group. The Jewish Defence League of Canada calls on the Government of Canada to also include the Muslim Brotherhood to its list of Banned Terror Groups. Thank you, Meir Weinstein National Director Jewish Defence League of Canada January 9, 2014.
