Punish killer of Martyr Salman Taseer

Karachi: January 4, 2014. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has paid homage to Martyr Salman Taseer on his sacrifice to raise voice for blasphemy law victim Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of five, sentenced to death. Martyr Salman Taseer who was Governor of Punjab met Asia Bibi in Sheikhupura jail on November 20, 2010, and assured her that he will present her clemency appeal to President of Pakistan for her release when a District and Session Court of Nankana Sahib awarded death sentence to Asia Bibi on November 11, 2010. Martyr Salman Taseer termed blasphemy law as a “black law” and received application of pardon from Aasia Bibi. On January 4, 2011, Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, a bodyguard of Martyr Salman Taseer opened fire on him in Islamabad and confessed openly that he killed Governor of Punjab on his comments that Blasphemy laws are “Black Laws” Killer Mumtaz Qadri was member of an outfit Islamist organization who sprayed rose petals on him when he appeared in Islamabad court but later he was sentenced to death but execution on judgment is being delayed due to appeals which are never heard due to fear by judges and he is still enjoying luxury in jail. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said “Oppressed and Persecuted Pakistani Christian will ever remember sacrifice of Martyr Salman Taseer on raising voice for them against controversial blasphemy laws” “We demand immediate punishment for killer Mumtaz Qadri that justice may be ensured” added PCC Chief
