Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan: December 4, 2013. (PCP) Yousaf Masih S/O Piyara Masih R/O Kamalia, Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan has been a sweeper in Punjab Police Department from 1987 to 2000. He has served his duties with all responsibility that there has been no complaint during 13 years of his service and he was always appreciated by his concerned authorities for his work. In the year 2000, Yousaf’s daughter got so much sick and was on death bed in the hospital. Yousaf submitted application for leave so that he may attend his daughter in the hospital. Leave in unavoidable circumstances is a right every individual in public service and Yousaf Masih requested for leave which was his legal right and he also had his leave of many days spared. He had not take leave for last many years so he had leave of many days in hand too. Instead of accepting the leave, the authorities started threatening Yousaf for expelling him from job and the doctors continued to call him for attending his daughter and Yousaf Masih was left with no option but to continue to beg the authorities for granting him leave. He continued to beg for the leave so that he may take her daughter to some big city and to a good hospital so that he may spare her daughter’s life. Lead by the love of his only daughter, Yousaf Masih wrote an application for leave, left it on the table of his concerned authorities and went to the hospital to take care of the dying daughter. In spite of the all the efforts of the doctors and the prayers of Yousaf Masih and his family, his daughter could not survive the sickness and died in the hospital after about one week of treatment. After the burial ceremonies, Mr. Yousaf Masih went back on job and was told that he has been expelled from the job for being absent. On inquiring, Yousaf Masih told that the authorities tore his application and cast it away in the garbage basket. Yousaf Masih told the authorities about all what happened with his family and his only daughter, but in vain. The authorities took no sympathy over his unavoidable circumstances and took no mercy even after the death of her only daughter and expelled him from job. Since then, Yousaf Masih is knocking one and the other door for help and he has not been heard and helped by anyone! God made it happen that Yousaf Masih contacted me after hearing about our work with the Suffering and Persecuted ones! He contacted and told about his story. I strongly condemn his expulsion from job and I am of the opinion that law permits him to get reinstatement on job with all the back benefits. Peace and relief work is never less expensive and dear people like Yousaf Masih who are left with no option then to remain without job and with no money, find it very difficult to get the proper forums to get relief and justice. I have filed the case of Yousaf Masih with the Provincial Ombudsman who at presently is looking into the matter and is convinced that Mr. Yousaf Masih has been persecuted for his faith and that he must be reinstated on the job. We are thankful to all of our supporters who help us with our work for the Orphaned, Slaved, Suffering and Persecuted ones in Pakistan. I oblige to continue to pledge your prayer times for persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. Your prayers and help is a great blessing for us for being a blessing to those in need. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue to help support the persecuted ones! Yours prayers and support is needed and appreciated. I express all of my gratification for joining with us in faith, trust and prayers and thank you so very much for standing along with us in expectancy!
