Islamabad: November 20, 2013. (PCP) Former Federal Minister, Convener Overseas Assembly Pakistan and Nominee for Nobel Peace Prize Mr. J Salik has written a letter to Foreign Office to give more time and attention for resolving the issues of Overseas Pakistanis by embassies, missions and consulates abroad. He made the suggestion of giving extra time to accommodate the problems of Overseas Pakistanis in his letter.
Subject: Benefits of Pakistani Democracy to Overseas Pakistanis.
The overseas Pakistani living all over the world abroad away from their families and countrymen are not only earning bread and butter for their families but also send foreign exchange for development and Progress of their beloved country Pakistan, but the fruit of democracy do not reach them. Besides other measures we can do by observing only one closed holiday a week in addition to closure of Pakistani embassies, missions and consulates abroad only on all Pakistani national days. But the said embassies, missions and consulates should operate on all national days of respective countries. Although some of the Pakistani embassies, missions and consulates have made especial arrangements for looking into the problems of Pakistanis abroad but the above mentioned proposal will bring excellent results.
