Rally for solution to problems of Kachi Abadis in Islamabad

Islamabad: October 9, 2013. (PCP) Mr. J Salik, Former Federal Minister, nominee for Nobel Peace Prize and convenor World Minorities Alliance lead a “Protest Rally” comprising thousands of children, youths, elders, men and women for “Injustice and Discrimination” against them. They marched with Quaid-e-Azam’s huge portrait before them on Monday October 7th 2013 at 5.00 pm towards of National Press Club Islamabad. The participants were raising Quaid-e-Azam’s portrait in hands for their demands. J Salik addressed the gathering and stressed upon CDA to solve problems of (slums) kachi abadis. He criticized the privatization of sanitation work of Islamabad sectors and other cities. He made a specific reference of the Lahore Administration where Pakistani flag has been de-graded by printing it on garbage drums and garbage carrying loaders, against which he protested on October 4th 2013 at “Ghanta Ghar Faisalabad”. He further harshly criticized the Latest CDA act of de-grading sanitary workers by hanging dustbin buckets with belt around their neck. He demanded for Reversion of present system of Selection instead of Election in National and provincial assemblies which are getting them out of national mainstream and deprive of providing leadership at national or international level.
