Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan; September 26, 2013. (PCP) Today, 25th of September is the third day of mourning and sharing condolence and solidarity with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the twin bomb attack on Church in Peshawar. During all these three days the live and business in almost all cities of Pakistan remained closed and shut down in support and in condolence of this terrible tragedy of Bombings on the church. People from the villages and surrounding towns and areas continued to come in volumes to join the procession and rallies. The Community of Toba Tek Singh took out processions during all these days and Pakistan Christian Congress and other organizations, civil societies, Muslim Friends, Politicians and Businessmen participated in the processions and rallies. Speaking on the occasions, Sadaf Saddique Advocate and Shahzad Fateh of Pakistan Christian Congress, Sadaqat Sardar, Robin Gulshan, Rafia Salomi and others called upon the Government to take deterrent steps against the terrorists, extremists and Taliban. The speakers called upon the Government to close down any dialogues with the Extremists for peace! To recapture for the readers: the Governments of Pakistan and Extremists are having peace dialogue whereby the Government of Pakistan is showing soft corner for the Extremists and releasing them as demand by them to continue the peace processes. The speakers called upon the Government to take all necessary and strong action against the responsible persons of this bombing. The community also prayed for those who died in the earthquake yesterday. The death causalities initially were announced 50 and soon after some time they reached to the number 250 and the death toll may go higher. The same magnitude earthquake back in 2005 killed almost hundred thousand people. At the end of three days mourning, processions and rallies all the community burnt the candles in the memory of the people who died and injured in this bombing on the church! Though the mourning is over after three days yet the deaths of the loved and dear ones shall never be forgotten. The people will keep them in their heart. We do need to continue to pray for peace, says Sadaf Saddique Advocate! We request the prayer partners to join with us in faith, trust, prayers and expectancy as we continue to highlight the persecution against the persecuted and suffering ones!
