(Nazir Siyal) Saeedu minor locally known as Shaheed Benazir Bhutto canal, which irrigating about 5000 acre agri-land near President Camp House Naudero has been stopped growing and forced the local growers to leave the fertile land uncultivated due to ongoing work of retaining (protective) wall from Dadu canal to Naudero city. He told media men that concerned authorities of Dadu canal have started the development work at Saeedo Minor (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Shakh) at Naudero City since one year which could not be completed on stipulated time, causing the blockage of irrigation water, farming community is facing acute shortage of water and unable to cultivate the paddy crop and growers will face loss of millions of rupees yet no one farmer of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Shakh has still sowed the single sampling of paddy crop. Syed Siraj Rashidi further told that despite of low flood in Rive Indus but canals are not being provided the share of irrigation water, several Shakhs and water channels of Taluka Warah, Nasirabad, Qubo Saeed Khan and others of District Kamber Shahdadkot are facing scarcity water. He said that 250000 acre land of Larkana and Kamber Shahdadkot district are yet to be cultivated with paddy crops but farmers are waiting for the irrigation water which is inefficiency of irrigation authority. Syed Siraj Rashidi demanded of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Provincial Minster for Irrigation to take notice of matter and resolve the core issue of local growers of Larkana and Kamber Shahdadkot district.
