(Abbas Kassar) Diocese of Hyderabad Church of Pakistan Bishop Kaleem John has congratulated newly elected prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif,speakers, deputy speakers, chief ministers of all 4 provinces on his and Christian community behalf and has asked all Pakistani Christians to pray on next Sunday in Churches for the development of energy, economy of country and for peace, interfaith harmony, equality, religious independence and solidarity and integrity of country.Bishop Kaleem John said the country was in urgent needs of sufficient energy and development of its economy that was in shabby condition.
He prayed for peace and security in country and for end of terrorism and advancement of interfaith harmony. Urging upon legislation to eliminate religious hatred and demanded equal rights for minorities especially Christians so as to end the feelings of deprivation among minorities.He also demanded representation to Christians in every department of the government especially the education, health and minority affairs sectors.
