WASHINGTON DC: May 27, 2013. The DC-based American Friends of Balochistan has called upon the UK government and civil society to set up a special fund for the education of two-year-old son army drummer Lee Rigby to send a clear cut message to the "extremists and terrorists no matter what they did they are fighting a losing war." Lee Rigby, 25, a machine gunner and drummer with was savagely butchered on May 22 by two suspects of Nigerian descent who are converts to Islam. In a statement the AFB, which is an American organization that espouses liberal values, said, "Jack Rigby, who is now just two years old, deserves to be educated in the best schools and universities so that he knows when he grows up that the blood of his father that was shed on the streets of Woolwich, has not gone in vain." The AFB said such a fund would lead to global demoralization of terrorists of all ilk. An AFB founder has contacted the Help for Heroes organization in London to make a request to set up a special fund dedicated to the memory of Lee Rigby, meant for the sole purpose of covering full school, college and university education of Jack Rigby. The AFB has also contacted the UK ambassador to the US, Sir Peter Westmacott, in this connection. The organization, primarily aimed at defending human rights and promoting democracy and secularism in Balochistan, appealed to Britons to show respect for the Muslim places of worship. "We express serious concern over attacks on 12 mosques in the UK and urge Britons not to let their age-old traditions of tolerance for all go down the dumps of history amid provocation."
