Pakistan Christian Congress to discuss future course of Action on May 31

Karachi: May 26, 2013. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC delegates from different districts of Punjab will gather in Lahore on May 2013, in a reception in honor of PCC Chief Orgnizer Ijaz Farhat Advocate and Panel of legal aid members of PCC ; PCC leaders will discuss results of election of 2013 and future line of action to achieve basic democratic rights for Christians. The moot will decide on launching fresh compagian to press upon new government for elections on reserved seats instead of selection on reserved seats for minorities in parliament. Mr. Morris Sadiq, Secretary General of Pakistan Christian Congress in a press note said that PCC leaders in a meeting on May 31, 2013, can hear good news of nomination of new President of Punjab Council of PCC and of Secretary General of Punjab PCC. Mr. Morris said that after formation of new government, PCC will approach Election Commission of Pakistan ECP for revival of registration of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC which was withdrawn after election 2008, as a protest against Selection system which empowers Muslim parties to select and nominate minority individuals of their choice in parliament. "I will meet PCC Chief Orgnizer PCC Ijaz Farhat Advocate to discuss effective orgnizational structure of PCC in Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan provinces" said Mr. Morris Sadiq Mr. Mushtaq Sardar Gill Advocate, President of PCC Lahore, who is orgnizing May 31, 2013, reception in honor of Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate, PCC Chief Orgnizer and other lawyers who are members of Legal Panel of PCC issued agenda meeting here today which highlights special attention on forthcoming Local Body Elections in Punjab. PCC Lahore President Mr. Mushtaq Gill Advocate said that PCC delegates from Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Kasur, Sialkot, Islamabad and Khanewal will participate in PCC Conference of May 31, 2013. Pakistan Christian Congress PCC Conference will be held at 2;00 PM at Best Western Hotel, The Mall Road, Lahore.
