Karachi: May 18, 2013. (PCP) The Central Executive Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC in a meeting here today approved nomination of Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate as Chief Orgnizer of Pakistan Christian Congress. Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate High Court and President of Christians Lawyers Association of Pakistan CLAP. He is prominant lawyer and practicing in Lahore from last 15 years.He is also well known Journalist who have contributed many columns in national newspapers and articles on Christian issues. Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate is providing free legal assistance to victims of Joseph Colony Lahore where Muslim mob attacked burning 3 Churches, 19 Shops of Christians and 150 homes of Christians on pretext to blasphemy. Mr. Ijaz Farhat advocate led boycott of Election 2013, demanding Election on reserved seats for minorities in parliament condemning Selection which empowers Muslim parties to nominate persons of their choice on reserved seats. Mr. Farhat expressing his views concerning to minorities and particualarly Christians of Pakistan felt that they are living in Pakistan like slave and have no voice in Parliments of Pakistan.He has strong demand of duel vote and election for minorities reserved seats. He was looking for such a group or political party which in true sense raise the basic issue of demand of Minorities of Pakistan in shape of right of Dual Vote and Election on Minorities reserved seats. He promised with President PCC Lahore and National Director LEAD ,Advocate Sardar Mushtaq Gill that he will work with PCC and raise the voice for the Minorities rights in whole Pakistan. He is very happy to announce his joining with PCC as Chief organizer.
