Lahore: April 13, 2013. (PCP) last days on 12th of April the founder and chairman of Trinity Evangelical Prayer Assemblies, Bishop Doctor Naeem Samuel threw off the title of Bishop before the Christian Media. He himself put off the Cross and Bishop color. He said that he was no more Bishop thence, and nor should he be addressed or written as Doctor or Bishop thenceforth. He proclaimed that he would serve the Lord and His Church as senior pastor because he wanted to humble himself down being in Christ. At that moment he also changed the name/title of Trinity Biblical University to Trinity Bible College, and he further said that he is no more the chancellor of the Previous University; instead he has become the Principal of Trinity Bible College. On that occasion Senior Pastor Naeem Samuel set all his degrees of D.D. and Ph.D to fire. Senior Pastor Naeem Samuel also said that Pastor Qasim Bakhsh is also a witness of this fact that he (Pastor Naeem Samuel) has abandoned the seat of Bishop. Senior Pastor Naeem Samuel said that he is also a life-time member of IICM International Bible College USA and his Trinity Bible College is also affiliated with above mentioned College. On this occasion his showed certificates and affiliation with IICM USA. Senior Pastor Naeem Samuel informed the Christian Media on this occasion that he was consecrated as Bishop on 12th of September 2004, afterwards in 2005 he was appointed as the Chairman of The Confederation/Council of the Bishops Heads of the National Churches (Regd) in Pakistan. But in 2006 he resigned from the post of Chairman from the above mentioned Confederation that was not accepted. He considered all these ranks and degrees as an obstacle in the service of the Lord. After setting all these degrees to fire he feels comfort and spiritual calm. He thinks he can do better service to the Lord as Paul said that being Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher is the right way of serving the Lord and His Church.
