LARKANA: March 22, 2013. (Nazir Siyal) A Youngman kidnapped for ransom, handcuffed with feetb brutally tortured about a month for demand Rs. 9 million ransoms, later challaned in a fake case at Qasimabad Hyderabad police, he appealed to save from high level gangs involved in heinous criminal activities and abductions in Hyderabad and other parts. According to victim Fida Hussain Korai, a resident of Larkana, told media men that he was abducted from his Karachi apartment, by DSP Fahim Farooqi and his private guards/police accomplices among Shoukat Sarki, Qadir Sarki, Mujeeb Memon, Lal Bux Memon and others at 3:30 am on 4th February 2013. He further told that they kept him for couple of days at a private torture cell in Hyderabad continued torture, where he locked with handcuffs and feet-cuffs, blindfolded and constantly forced to stay awake for handing all his properties and valuables he told. He told media men that kidnappers/police produced him at PS Qasimabad in a fabricated and false FIR of burglary lodged by an individual Lal Bux Memon S/O Khamiso Memon, later, it was known that the FIR and this all was being carried out by the orders of SSP Pir Fareed Jan Sarhandi he media men. According to the victim Fida, he told that PS Qasimabad issued challan for an illegal fee of Rs. 50,000 and challan was recommended for Jail Custody. I was forced to pay another sum of Rs. 50,000 by Jail administration in order to show leniency in the Central Jail and not to harass me anymore, later his family members followed-up his case in the Sessions Court and after a long struggle and various hindrances, successfully received my release orders on 16thFebruary 2013 he said. In order to release, the relatives among my brother reached to Central Jail, but he was told to wait outside the gate, but the Jail officials personally handed over to another group of kidnappers in civil dressed by the Superintendent of Central Jail he said. He said repeatedly appealed for mercy and a call to my family members, but the Superintendent Jail refused to grant him, he was locked with handcuffs, feet cuffs and blindfolded him, later in the car or as a police mobile shifted to another private car after a gap of 30 minutes, once brought to a private torture cell he told. It was a sad situation he told that about three days of sleeplessness and no food, continued demands for ransom of Rs 9 million and handing over of all properties and vehicles he said. Fida Hussain clearly identified those among Shoukat Sarki, Qadir Sarki, Mujeeb Memon and Lal Bux Memon, they further threatened for kidnapping his only son and arresting his wife in a fake FIR, if their demand was not fulfilled they issued more threats on the occasion. He said, I was totally helpless, handicapped, under constant pressure and unable to resist anymore and told them nothing else except an apartment in Karachi is my only asset, Later that same day, DSP, Zulfiqar Arain, came with a so-called “settlement” and put four things in front with an illegal pistol, 2Kg of Charas, an FIR of Motorcycle robbery and an affidavit. The affidavit stated that I am bound to pay PKR 4 million to Mujeeb Memon in 4 months, keeping my apartment documents as a “guarantee”, being in the tough situation, I chose signing the affidavit he told. He was produced again at PS Cantt. Saddar under fake and fabricated FIR, before the handing over the documents on 23th February 2013, my brother brought documents. I was presented in front of the 5th Session Court Judge, Mr Junejo, and requested for a 2-day remand, there indirectly told the Judge that I am in the wrong hands of the Police Department; it would be kind that he helps me stay on the record; otherwise I will be classified as a “missing person” or probably killed he prayed. Before the media, victim demanded of the appoint of an honest officer to investigate this incident that has destroyed his family and the FIR that on his wife are nominated should also be scrutinised, and quashed on the right basis. He strongly appealed for strict action may be taken against the corrupt officers of the Police Department among SSP PirFareed Jan Sarhandi, DSP FahimFarooqi, DSP ZulfiqarArain, and Superintendent of Hyderabad Central Jail and others can be identified by face he claimed. He also demanded of the FIR kidnapping for ransom should be lodged against Shoukat Sarki, Qadir Sarki, Mujeeb Memon, and LalBux Memon and his belongings should be retrieved included original documents of apartment (#06, Block A3, Karachi Centre, New Town, Karachi) from DSP ZulfiqarArain and valuables such as mobile phones laptops and jewellery sets and others. He demanded of a suitable compensation for the loss of morale, mental torture, physical torture and wastage of hard-earned money in paying the corrupt officers. The victim of extreme torture and harassment Fida Hussain has requested the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan and Justice Amir Hani Muslim to take notice of a complaint regarding the illegal activities of Hyderabad Police and misuse of Police powers in the city. He appealed that being a common citizen of Pakistan; justice with him on humanitarian grounds he prayed.
