Karachi: March 21, 2013. (PCP) Prayer Service was arranged under the auspicious of Advocate Pakistan Sindh Chapter on 20th March, 2013 at Sindh Bar Council, High Court of Sindh for Asia Bibi who have been awarded death penalty punishment by the Pakistan Court and for Martha Bibi whose case under blasphemy law is still pending and lingering due to the absence of the concerned judge. Both these Christian women are languishing in Pakistan Jails along with 177 persons who have been accused of Blasphemy in the Province of Punjab, Pakistan.
Special prayers were also offered for Sawan Masih of Joseph Colony, Badami Bagh Lahore who has been arrested by Lahore Police under blasphemy law and his enquiry and trial is pending till to date. The good number of activists and Christian advocates Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, Samuel Xavier, Shahbaz Sothra, Jacquiline Sultan, Daniel Bux, Nanch Dean, Indriyas Barkat, Younus Inayat, Saleem Michael, Younus Khan and other members of the fraternity attended this prayer meeting to pay homage to martyr Evangelist Jameel Masih and for the acquittal of Asia Bibi, for the fair trial of Martha Bibi, Sawan Masih and other 177 persons facing trial under blasphemy law.
