Karachi: March 9, 2013. (PCP) Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, MPA Sindh, Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh Assembly, President All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh Chapter strongly condemned the burring of innocent Christian’s 100 houses (approx.) by Muslim Extremist Mob. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary to take suo-moto action on this tragic act against Christians. In this matter once again the Punjab Government failed to act in accordance with law and safe the religious minorities particularly in Punjab. Yesterday, IN the Joseph Colony Lahoori Market, Lahore where a Christian Resident namely Sawan Masih has been falsely involved / accused by one Mr. Shahid Imran, a Barber by profession in order to settle personal scores and jealousy as Sawan Masih is running his small business of billiard to closer to Shahid’s business and earning in order to support his family. Shahid Imran Babar falsely accused Sawan Masih a Christian Young Men that he has disrespected the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). The local police and the SHO (Mr. Hafiz Abdul Majid) under the unnecessary pressure of Muslim religious organization registered a blasphemy case against Sawan Masih under Pakistan Penal Code 295-C, the punishment of which is death. Whereas in accordance with the statement of the SHO Badami Bagh PS Lahore. He stated that first of all you bring the Muslim Religious organizations with you then only he would register the case against Sawan Masih. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar stressed that with the pretext of this very blasphemy people are taking their personal and business revenge they always use this 295-B and 295-C law in order to eliminate the Christians and other minority under this blasphemy law to the persons accused are killed by the MOB before they could reach the Courts and Police Station for trial and justice. Blasphemy case accused if declared innocent and acquired by the Judge concerned in the court the Muslim extremists even killed the concerned judge and as such with the extreme pressure of the extremist mob, the courts, judges and the police hold the accused under 295-B and 295-C as guilty without giving the opportunity of fair trial and due process of law and therefore most of the Christians and other minorities are deprived of justice.
