Karachi: January 30, 2013. (PCP) Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, MPA Sindh, Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh Assembly and President All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh in Sultanabad Karachi gave polio drops to innocent children and emphasized that polio drops is very necessary for the children and for their good health it should be encouraged in order to build healthy families in Pakistan. But on the contrary, there are religious extremists who are deadly against giving polio drops to the Pakistani children who would result in unhealthy children and families and so as to make Pakistani children and families disabled and crippled and these religious extremists do not want Pakistan to be polio free country. In the recent past, the women polio workers were targeted by the Taliban and were killed when they were giving polio drops to children in Karachi. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar stressed that if the civil society come out and protest against these few anti polio elements they can be prevented from such brutal acts against the polio campaign in order to save the children and Pakistani families from becoming disabled and crippled. He said that no one should be allowed to stop this noble cause in the interest of public.
