The suspense over the nominations of the Bollywood Music Awards 2005, during the past weeks in Trinidad and Tobago, and the Indian Diasporas worldwide is finally over. Music lovers now know the best five performances by music artists as well as their choice of the best music director. The performers who have received the top five rankings have now been declared for the Bollywood Music Awards 2005 to be held on Saturday, Dec 3rd 2005 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad. The very special and prestigious "Lifetime Achievement" award for distinguished contribution to the Bollywood movie/music industry in the Caribbean will be given at the Award night to Mr. Kamaluddin Mohammed. Kamal Mohammed's performance was so impressive that he was invited to host the first ever Indian programme on radio in Trinidad, 'Indian Talent on Parade' on Radio Trinidad. In the Trinidad of the 1940's there were not so many radios and so large crowds would gather at the few homes with radios to listen to this programme. The nominees were selected by a group of renowned jury members. The Bollywood Music Awards will be an electrifying event, and will be viewed by over 270 million viewers on television in over 90 countries. One night on one stage, a night to remember as history is created in Trinidad.
