Toronto: December 11, 2012. (PCP) Today on Human Rights Day, International Christian Voice would like to recommit itself for working to raise the plight of the Christians and other religious minorities of Pakistan. Not only that, today International Christian Voice feels honored to be a apart of a country that holds the importance of human rights as a fundamental cornerstone of the countries values. Canada is the voice for all including the women, children, disabled and other minority groups within its own borders and across the world. Based on Article, 19, 20, 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Christian Voice believes that the religious minorities of Pakistan should have the right to freedom of opinion and expression, the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association and the right to take part in the government of Pakistan through freely chosen representatives. These rights have historically changed human rights all over the world and we will continue to fight for these rights for the people of Pakistan. Today, we also want to remember our leader and our champion of human rights, Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti. He lived his entire life as a living sacrifice for the religious minorities of Pakistan to ensure their human rights. Remembering our leader today, we want to state that we will also remain firm on the same commitment and work with the same dedication.
