Pakistan Christian Congress nominates Mahboob Masih President of PCC Bhakkar district

Karachi: December 6, 2012. (PCP) The Central Executive Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has approved nomination of Mr. Mahboob Masih as President of PCC Bhakkar District here today in an urgent meeting. PCC Central Executive Council also discussed situation of religious freedom in Pakistan and expressed grave on arrests of innocent Christians under blasphemy laws and attacks on Christian human rights and social activists. PCC Council condemned attack on Christian social worker from Sweden in Lahore and urged government of Pakistan to arrest culprits to ensure justice. Pakistan Christian Congress Executive Council passed a resolution to ensure religious freedom in Pakistan and expressed concern on cancellation of tours of foreign missionaries to Pakistan after attack on Swedish missionary in Lahore who was serving poor and needy from 40 years in Punjab. Mr. Parvez Iqbal, President of PCC Holland Chapter, Mr. Raymond Durrani, President of PCC Canadian Chapter, Ms Asma Riaz, President of PCC Youth Council Islamabad and Mr. Clarence Anthony, Central Information Secretary of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC congratulated Mr. Mahboob Masih on joining Pakistan Christian Congress. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said in a statement that PCC will be stronger in Southern Punjab after joining of Mr. Mahboob Masih to PCC. Mr. Mahboob Masih is social worker and active in Church activities in district Bhakkar and aims at serving his community from platform of Pakistan Christian Congress.
