Pakistani Christians condemn death threats to Khalid Gill

Karachi: November 15, 2012. (PCP) In a meeting presided by held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh held on 15-11-2012 at Karachi in which Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar strongly condemn the death threat extended to Khalid Gill of APMA by religious militants / extremists whereby Mr. Khalid Gill is receiving such threats continuously. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar express his serious concerns on this matter and requested the Government of Pakistan especially Government of Punjab to provide security to Mr. Khalid Gill without further delay. He stressed that such terrorists and religious extremists should be arrested and legal action in accordance with law should be taken against them. It is pertinent to mention that Mr. Khalid Gill was a close associate of Shahbaz Bhatti and was actively pursuing the human rights issues particularly the issues of religious minorities under the guidance of Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti for the last so many years. He was active to bring the religious minorities on one platform so as to bring the minorities in the mainstream so as to achieve the political, economic and cultural rights of minorities in Pakistan. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar once again expressed his concern on the death threats extended to Mr. Khalid Gill and condemns the same strongly.
