PPP leaders pay tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto

LARKANA: October 23, 2012. (PCP) Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah paid rich tributes to Madar-e-Jhamoriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto on the eve of her 1st death anniversary here at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Tuesday. On the occasion, PPP leaders and workers in GKB and throughout country spoke high about her life and great struggle against the dictatorship for revival of democracy in country. Sindh Chief Minister Sayed Qaim Ali Shah along with Sindh Ministers and local leaders workers at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and Sanam Bhutto her daughter and sister of Benazir Bhutto also arranged women gathering here at President House Naudero and rectied holy Quran and Fateha Khuwani on the occasion. They paid glorious tributes and said she kept PPP united after the death of her husband and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaheed Zulifqar Bhutto. Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah while addressing, said that when Shaheed Zuliqar Ali Bhutto was in Kot Lakhpat Jail in 1977 that time few elements then members of Executive Committee of PPP were hatching conspiracies against the party on the occasion. Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto appointed the Begum Nusrat Bhutto as Chairperson of PPP and she strengthened to party and united to PPP workers besides a Political leader she was a best mother and a women leader proved he said. Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that present government is following the vision and Philosophy of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to serve the masses with out any discrimination, added that present PPP government is distributing the 50000 acre land among the female farmers in Sindh to empower the women folk he said. On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durani in his address said Madar e Jhamoriat took part in MRD Tehreek and gave countless sacrifices for sack of democracy added that Begum Nusrat Bhutto faced the hardships of dictators but did not bow down before. He said services rendered by Begum Nusrat Bhutto will be remembered for all time to come, her name will be written in golden words. Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro while addressing told that Begum Nusrat Bhutto was brave woman leader, who saw the martyrdom of her husband and two her sons, but did not move back her struggle adding that Begum Nusrat Bhutto was a mother of great leader of the world Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who sacrificed of her life for the nation and democracy. He said we are workers of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto will not step down to give any sacrifice of our life for masses and country. Law Minister said that PPP government will complete its five year constitutional term and will again come into power by support of masses. Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah along with Provincial Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durani, Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, General Secretary PPP District Larkana Abdul Fatah Bhutto, former Ambassador to UAE Khursheed Ahmed Junejo and other local leaders visited the Mazar of Madar e Jhamoriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto placed floral wreath on her grave and offered fateha for the peace of departed souls. CM Sindh also visited the mausoleum of Karsaz martyrs laid floral wreaths and offered Dua.
