LARKANA: October 14, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Police raids at the houses of various activists of Nationalist orgnizations and FIR registered against them, enraged protests are continued in different parts of province against Sindh people’s local government Ordinance (SPLGO) here on Sunday. On the occasion, different Processions were taken out in Larkana, Badeh, Dokri, Kamber-Shahdadkot and other parts of Sindh by JSQM JSQM, STPP, SUP, JSQM (Aresar), SNP and others held protests against Sindh people’s local government Ordinance (SPLGO) and called it a division of Sindh by the PPP and MQM. The police registered FIRs against 10 activists of JSQM among Momin Odho, Yakoob Arbani, Zafar Langah and others, while raids at various locations in Larkana district sources told. The protesters staged demonstration and foot March from Badah to Dokri and blocked highway for several hours and protests against dual system in Sindh province. They said the rulers have succumbed to the MQM pressure as well the lust of power agreed to divide Sindh, but the dual system of local government in the province will not tolerated they demanded. Sindh Adabi Sangat (SAS) and Sindh Writers Forum (SWF) took out a rally against the SPLGO, the representatives of Civil Society including writers, Poets, Singers, Artists, Lawyers, Doctors and other literary people from all walks of life of Sindh participated on the occasion. The rally led by Central Secretary General SAS Dr. Mushataq Phull and Muzafar Chandio staged protest and demonstration against Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO) 2012 here out side the Larkana Press Club on Sunday. On the occasion intellectuals rejected the new LG bill and termed it anti Sindh document and called for to repeal it at once. Speakers addressing ont eh occasion said that the bill was passed in darkness of night it should have been put in various forums for debating and discussing before the bringing it to Assembly, but greedy rulers for saving their government, virtually handed over the Sindh to MQM by SPLGO. They said history will never pardon them who betrayed to their heartland, added that the PPP rulers have misused the mandate of Sindh People and utilized it for their personal objectives they said. SAS and Sindh Writers Forum leaders will pay visits of all villages and cities of Sindh to convey their message, on the occasion, renowned intellectual Dr Dur Muhammad Pathan announced to returne his Presidential Award to government in protest passing controversial LG bill 2012. Dr Pathan received award last year on pride of performance in literary field. Noor Muhammad Memon, Ishtiaq Ansari, Pro Mukhtiar Samo, Dr Zulifqar Rahujo, Malhar Sindhi, and others were present on the occasion.
