(PCP) We at Pashtun Cultural Institute in the US – A Non Profit Group that has promoted the cultural diversity of the Pashtun Community, which is scattered between Afghanistan and Pakistan today. We currently would like to condemn the brutal attack on the Malala Yusufzai in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a 14-year-old Girl. A very bright Child, living in the region in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which follows a strict code of the Pakhtunwali and practice Islam in majority. She is the latest victim of discussing a moderate view on the present day atrocities in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan. The region has been under the attack ever since the Afghan WAR- that resulted in a massive Exodus for the many Pashtun tribes from Afghanistan to live in Pakistan and many have settled around the Globe today. The People of this region has always been deprived from essential needs and being this is a mountain region the fittest can only survive, the code of Pakhtunwali needs to be understood as the people of this region have been historically connected to many Rulers, and before the coming of Islam in the 7th Century.Histoy tells us that the Bani Israel tribes which are now considered as the lost tribes, their roots have shown that the settlement came when the Babylonian at the time when King Nebuchadnezzar ruled and he had captured the Bani Israel, the tribes of Benjamin were settled in the present day Afghanistan, in history it is recorded that the Grandson of King Saul who’s name was “Afghana” was one of the early settled in this mountain region, History records that “ Afghana”, was appointed as a Commander in Chief at the time King Solomon Ruled. Ever since the ancient time and many changes in the world ruling powers the Bablyonians, Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, and theTurks, the present day region has been an ancient gateway to the many Rulers of the world and the centuries of calamity and War, the region has been known to become a race of its own kind by virtue of defending its own integrity and many times lost the cultural barring, many rulers had been harsh in there approach to rule, at the time when Genghis Khan was a ruler this was common practice, the region being an Ancient gateway has seen the passage of Alexander the great, than came the Moguls and than centuries later the British Raj . The region brings you stories of Valor and Warfare. And since the Afghan War now is suffering thru the worst of its time, the most recent term of known to us is a Mujahidin’s, or the most popular term used is Taliban (in translation means many students). The current policies of both the Government in Afghanistan and Pakistan has made it difficult for the struggling region, to develop and potent culture under warfare, ever since the Afghan war and becoming and a passage to the ancient Gateway into India, has made life for the mountain region more harsh and painful. While living under these provisions, and seeking ways to discuss the various components that act violent and mis construe the interpretation, speaking about making the improvement in a culture, which has been dominated, by many cultures is a fresh air. The most recent brutal attack on one such fresh air is a violet crime and has to be condemned and addressed on all platforms. This teaches a lesson that peace is unattainable and it is at the cost of Blood. We as a cultural advisor condemn the attack and ask the international community to finds ways and means to address the regional needs and ask to hold anyone and everyone accountable for such an Attack. And our sincere prayer for the Yusufzai family as Malala recovers. This is a lesson learned for years of being in war, and now this is a war within- I ask the Chairman Mr.Asfandyar Wali Khan of Awami National Party, the Honorable Governor Syed Masood Kausar the Chief Minister Honorable Ameer Haider Khan Hoti the Federal Minister of Defense Mr.Rahman Malik and all the Government and Civic associations to work collectively in reaching to the root cause of this barbaric assault and use the necessary means to pace a security in the lawless land. May the almighty send peace over the trouble region, as many are struggling for the basic needs to survive? We would request the UN, and the world super powers to address the concerns of this nature abundant region of the Pashtuns- which has seen many wars and have defended themselves, a region that is known for its bravery and as a Pashtun looking straight into your eyes and tell you “ I am as good a man as your are” Long life the Pashtuns.
