REAP team has visited the remote area school near Rawalpindi Pakistan

Islamabad: October 8, 2012. (Shamim Masih) Reformation for Empowerment and Alleviation of Poverty (REAP) management has visited their school in a far away village school last day. REAP a non-profit organization aim to provide education, enhance interfaith harmony and to work to alleviate poverty. A group of REAP management include Nadeem A Janjua (vice chairman), Shamim Masih (Secretary General) and its newly elected vice president Iman Rasheed has visited its school 35 km away from the city Rawalpindi and appreciated the efforts of its administrator Mohammad Yaqoob. Sir Syed Model School, Chauntra, located in rural area nearly 36 km away from the city Rawalpindi provide free education and substantial support to more than 200 children regardless of their religion, creed and cast. The school is providing education up to 8th grade. Nadeem A Janjua senior educationist and director GIFT Colleges in Gujranwala travelled all the way from Gujranwala to visit the school. He started his journey at 6 o clock in the morning and reached there at 0930 hours taking his team members from Islamabad/Rawalpindi. REAP team members had visited all the class rooms and appreciated the class work done there. The school is providing the education facility up to 8th grade and taking GABA syllabus which is considered the best one in Pakistan education system. The class work and the art work done in the class room were really remarkable. Mohammad Yaqoob, the administrator told the team that school is running for the last 20 years and could hardly meeting its expenses and we could not pay much to our teachers, who are very talented and dedicated in their profession. He also requested the team to provide some assistance to have one more class room which is very necessary. Nadeem A Janjua realizing the need of the school announced to provide some school stuff from the GIFT University. REAP is also extending hands toward world’s big organizations so that with the help of the world big patron REAP can provide better opportunities to the oppressed people of Pakistan.
