LARKANA: September 27, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro led awareness walk to mark the “World Heart day” by the Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana Cardiology Department here from Auditorium Hall of Children Hospital Larkana on Thursday. On the occasion Chief Guest Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said that the present PPP government is following the vision of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto by providing quality health services, added that a separate Cardiology Department will be established at Larkana with modern facilities to serve the people of Sindh. Mr Khuhro said that civil society should play its role for creating awareness regarding the heart diseases and avoid heavy foods and cholestrol increasing items. Cardiologist Professor Saeed Ahmed Sangi in his speech said that about 12 million people in the world die annually due to heart diseases , preventive measures should be taken to avoid from this disease. On the occasion Principal Chandka Medical College Larkana Professor Assadullah Mahar, Medical Superintendent CMC Hospital Larkana Dr Afsar Ali Bhutto, Dr Sakina Gaad, Social leader Panjal Sangi and others also addressed. Earlier a an awareness walk /rally led by Speaker Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was taken out from Cardiology unit to Press Club. While other, on the directives of MNA Faryal Talpur, President PPP Ladies wing district Kamber Shahdadkot Faryal Akhtar Brohi visited the rain effected areas of Taluka Sijawal Junejo and distributed the relief goods among 202 families and assured them that all their problems will be resolved very soon, she added efforts are under way to drain out the stagnant water in effected areas. PPP Ladies wing leader Faryal Akhtar Brohi told that survey work is going on at Taluka Sijawal Junejo, very soon rehabilitation work will be started she said. On the occasion, General Secretary PPP Taluka Sijawal Ghulam Sarwar Bhutto, Leaders of Peoples Hari Committee Ali Madad Lashari and others were present. Meanwhile,Suni Tehreek Larkana Chapter took out the protest rally and staged sit in against blasphemous US movie here at Jinah Bagh Chok on Thursday. The rally was led by Provincial leader ST Mulana Ali Nawaz Qasmi and it was started from Bunder road after marching through various routs reached at Jinah Bagh, where activists of ST set the US flags on firs and ST strongly condemned the US anti-Islam film andenraged protesters shouted slogans. They condemned the attack on Namoos-e-Risalat by US film against our Prophet Muhammad, which has sparked an outcry in the country. They demanded the OIC and US government to withdraw Film on Youtube and other sites defaming the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) they said.
