Philadelphia: September 26, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir s Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has said that blasphemy laws in Pakistan encourage Islamic terrorism against religious communities and we demand repeal in it that society may be a tolerant enjoying social justice. Commenting on President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari speech in general assembly of United Nations in New York, PCC Chief said that it is need of time that Pakistan may legislate against hate crimes which are committed by Muslim clerics every day in mosques of Pakistan where they term followers of other religions as infidels and call for killing of infidels. There are millions of book circulating in markets against other religions in Pakistan in which derogatory remarks are noted against Christianity but government of Pakistan have never bothered to ban those books. Nazir Bhatti said that call of President of Pakistan in United Nations session to act and pass “Defamation of Religion” resolution is a conspiracy to globalize blasphemy law which is root cause of terrorism and killing members of other religions. “If UNHRC adopts Defamation of Religion Resolution then killing of followers of other religions will be legalize in Washington DC, Paris and London like Pakistan which will damage true spirit of Declaration of Human Rights of UNO and will impose Cairo Declaration of Muslims to end freedom of speech and expression enshrined in UN Human Rights” said PCC Chief added Nazir S Bhatti urged government of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy laws in Pakistan to end violence against Christians, Hindus, Ahmadiyya and other religious minorities to revive a tolerant society. “I demand re-investigation of cases all accused in blasphemy law after facts of tainting Rimsha Masih case evidence” said Nazir Bhatti
