Faryal Talpur visits flood affected part of Sindh

LARKANA: September 25, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) MNA Faryal Talpur along with Provincial Ministers visited flood affected parts of the Larkana and Kmaber-Shahdakot districts and reviewed relief activities in order to health, food and tent provision in the by the administration. MNA Faryal Talpur also presided over the meeting with Commissiner Larkana division, Irrigation officials, North Urban Services Corporation (NSUSC) and Muncipal regarding the complete survey for the rehablitation of rain affected properties and agricultural sector here at President Camp House Naudero. On the occasion, MNA Faryal Talpur directed the authorites of irrigation, and NSUSC concerned to drain out steganat water from the Union Councils of Larkana and other areas. She also directed the district administrtion and Muncipal authorities to spray to protect from the health hazards and awareness about the health issues, in this regard medical camps should be set up in the differnet flood affected areas, added that the vetrinary Doctors should serve in the rain and flood affected areas and proper administration of health provision to the cattles she said. In a meeting, Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Provincial Irrigation Minister Jaam Saifullah Dharejo, Agha Siraj Durani and other authorities briefed about the flood issues and told that KheerThar canal is sustaining the flood pressure from varous districts of Jacobabad, Kashmore, Kandhkot, Shakarpur and other parts of Balochistan. They told that Hairdeen Drain was damaged and its is now sensitive point due water pressure from KheerThar canal and current water flow is about 70000 cusec in Hairdeen drain via RBOD and MNV drain. During the meeting Secretary Baber Affandi and other officials also told that the embankments are not vulnerable, so they can sustain flood pressure as the 7 thousand cusec water. They told that the 50 percent machinery and staff is available at sensitive area of Hairdeen drain, KheerThar canal and RBOD to avert any situation, added that 6 Choppers are distributing the relief food and other commodities in the relief camps in the Sindh and Balochistan areas, in this regard they have provided 13 new generators at 13 pumping station with 9 transformers installed to decrease the unrest and settled 90 percent affectees he said. MNA Faryal Talpur along with Shugufa Jumani, MPA Munwer Abassi, Abdul Fatah, Ameen Mengal, Aijaz Ali Soomro, Ghulam Mustafa Soomro and others visited several villages including Juma Agham, Waris Dino Machi, Kodrani, Wassayo Bhutto, Small and Wada Bosan and other affected areas, she also distributed food among the relief camp affectees and assured them for help.
