Karachi: September 25, 2012. I, Raymond W. Durrani, Central Council Executive of Pakistan Christian Congress (PCC) pleased to announce appointment of Mr. Mushtaq M. Gill as a President and an Overseer of Lahore District in the Province of Punjab, Pakistan. This appointment is dually approved by the Central Council in consultation with the National President and Chairman Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti. Mr. Gill has been a close friend to the Pakistan Christian Congress for many years. He has been doing volunteer work for an organization called ‘Lead’ (Legal Evangelical Association Development). He has been providing legal counsel to victims of Blasphemy Law in Pakistan and is active in securing human rights in Pakistan. Mr. Gill has recently completed his law degree and looking forward to join the Bar Association of Lahore High Court. Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti, National Chair of Pakistan Christian Congress, Mr. Sadiq, Secretary General along with other Council Executive members welcomed Mr. Mushtaq Gill, wished him well and ensured him of their full support and cooperation. A prominent Christian lawyer of Sindh High Court also joined Pakistan Christian Congress PCC today while a world renowned Human Right activists and civil society activists will be nominated as Chief Organizer of PCC on September 26, 2012. Pakistan Christian Congress Punjab Council will organize Provincial Convention in December where New Punjab Council of PCC will be elected and take oath ceremony. In year 2012, more than 25 thousand Christian filed for membership of Pakistan Christian from automated membership forms from PCC website www.pakistanchristiancongress.org PCC will file petition in Sindh High Court for Election on minorities reserved seats challenging Selection of its representatives by Muslim parties. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has appealed to Christian Youth to fill membership forms of PCC to join struggle for equal right in Pakistan.
