ISLAMABAD: September 22, 2012. (PCP) The Chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International and United Nations former Expert Adviser on human rights, Ansar Burney, Advocate has strongly condemned attack and burning of St. Paul’s Lutheran church, in Mardan Cantt and demanded for the immediate arrest of extremists to bring them to Justice, who have no respect for humanity, Religion and human dignity in Pakistan.
Ansar Burney said that around Seven to Eight thousand Fundamentalist, Extremist and Fanatic criminals entered into the Church compound in Mardan Cannt on Friday and after entering into Church started beating innocent Christians who were busy in their Prayers.
Pakistan's former Federal Minister for human rights, Ansar Burney said that after entering into the St. Paul’s Lutheran church, St. Pauls School Building and Principal of St. Paul High School in Mardan, these extremists first looted, beaten the staff and then set on fire the Church, School, Vehicles and houses of Pastors in the same compound.
Ansar Burney said that after the incident of innocent Rimshah Masih case in Islamabad and now burning of Church in Mardan, created a fear in the Christian Community in Pakistan.
