HYDERABAD: September 02, 2012. (By Abbas Kassar) The murder of a Christian labourer Shera Masih resident of Kachhelo farm near Kot Ghulam Muhammad town of Umerkot district, who was killed on 7th July 2012 by an influential Muslim landlord Faisal Kachhelo for petty reason of lifting earth for earth filling in local school, has been messed up under pressure and threat of said landlord to Allahdito father of slain Shera and in complicity of police. The lawyer and human rights activist Kanji Mal told this scribe that on a hearing on first day of August Allahdito had told him that landlord had threatened him that if he did no withdraw case of murder of his son against the said landlord and his men his another son will also be killed. After the threat Allahdito had no option but to pardon the murder of his son to landlord and his men under duress otherwise to lose another son as well to face ejection from the village. As a result Allladito agreed to parton murder before another politically powerful Pir Sarhandi who is said to have chaired the Jirga ( illegal court of Waderas).Faisal Kachhelo though nominated in murder of Shera Masish but was never arrested and continued to threaten the family of slain Shera due to which his father and other family members were frightened. In Pakistan justice is not that is written in penal code but in hands of powerful landlords and sardars as police acts on their wishes. More than two dozen innocent people are killed in Sindh alone on behest of landlord or by terrorists without arrest of killer of any.Allah Bachayo the Guard of Faisal Kachhelo was arrested but main accused was not touched by police. It may be reminded that civil society that had held protest demonstrations for Shera also remained silent on messing up of his murder as it was said that landlord Kachhelo has spent hundreds of thousands of rupees on silencing his opponents. This is the brand of justice in Pakistan where chief justice of Pakistan takes suo moto notice of contraband in purse of TV artist Atiqa Odho but he never takes suo moto in any of the thousands of murders. He did not take notice of murders of 3 Hindu doctors in village Chak in Shikarpur district on last Bakra Eid and also he did not take notice when 25 Shia Muslims were killed near Mansehra in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa when the terrorists took them out of bus and after identifying them as members of minority Muslim Shias. For minorities Pakistan has been turned as difficult country to live.
