HYDERABAD, Pakistan: August 30, 2012. (By Abbas Kassar) Jeay Sindh Mahaz and Shah Latif Foundation have announced to organise Peace, Tolerance and Interfaith conference at Bhit Shah on 9th September 2012. Announcement to this effect was made by Riaz Chandio chairman Jeay Sindh Mahaz and Syed Waqar Hussain Latifi the son of Syed Nisar Hussain Latifi Sajada Nasheen of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and secretary of Bhitai Foundation while addressing joint press conference here on Thursday. They were accompanied with Ayaz Sanai, Sodho Ratan Kumar, Asad Soomro, Latif Mallah and others. Riaz Chandio said that the girls of Hindsus were being converted to Islam after kidnapping them, Hindus are being kidnapped for ransom, their business concerns are being attacked and they are being killed. This all scenario of violence against non-Muslims in Sindh has been created by present PPP government. He said Hindus are the heirs of this land since centuries but during last 4 and half years of PPP rule the noose around Hindus and Christians has been tightened so that they find to way out except to migrate from Sindh while on the other hand Burmese and Bengalis were being bestowed with citizenship in Sindh. He said when Rinkel Kumari was kidnapped and converted the Gadi Nasheen of Shah Latif Bhitai had demanded taking her statement before the UN commission or foreign ambassadors as he had said they do have no trust on government officers, police and judges of Pakistan. He said his statement proved true as the judges of Supreme Court handed her to converter. He question that why Rinkel, Lata and Maneesha are being converted to Islam and why not Suresh and Mahesh. He said that ruling party members have unleashed false propoaganda that Hindus were not migrating but going to India for Yatra. He question will anyone go to Yatra while weeping. He disclosed that more than 1000 Hindu, Sikh and Christian families have left Sindh alone and none of them have returned back. He said in Chak town of Shikarpur distict 3 Hindu doctors were killed and their families left Sindh but no accused was ever arrested.
He demanded probe in violence against minorities in Pakistan by a commission of UNO and international community. He accused that in whole of Sindh there was law of jungle. He deplored that an 11 years non-Muslim girl who collects waste to sell in market to get food for her family she is accused of blasphemy. He alleged that names of Pakistan and Islam are being exploited and “we are against this exploitation". He said Hindus were forced to leave Sindh in 1947 and at that time Sindh was only weeping but now Sindh is on roads in protest against forced conversion and migration. He accused that PPP was behind this situation. He said Shah Latif had preached peace, brotherhood and interfaith harmony as such they have decided to organize a conference at Bhit Shah on 9th September 2012 for which they would invite all enlightened people, poets, writers, intellectuals and peace loving people. To a question as to whether they would invite political leaders for this moot he said sure they would invite PPP MNA Syed Zafar Ali Shah but not PPP MNA Mian Mithoo. It may be reminded that Mian Mithoo is ruling party MNA but notorious in kidnapping Hindu girls, keeping them in his Haveli and then marrying them to his disciples or servants. He was involved in Rinkel Kumari kidnapping and conversion.
