Relatives of drowned protest on failure of rescue operation

LARKANA: August 10, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Police and administration failed to fishout the body of a 40 year old Larkana citizen; the relatives held protest demonstration against the failures of rescue operation and chanted slogans of tall claims are proved inability. According to the details, a 40 years old man Sayed Sadiq Ali Shah resident of Nazar Muhalla drowned in Rice Canal due to vertigo at the bank in the morning told a woman an eyewitness on the occasion. The relatives and community requested the police and Civil Defense administration but failed to find any divers to fish out the dead body from the Rice Canal till the evening. District administration also failed to help out the relatives they were wandering for the divers or rescue operation for hours. The police also refused that they have no any resources or divers to rescue about an incident. The relatives on the occasion, held protest demonstration at the Rice Canal bank before the police and chanted slogans of failures of Larkana development or rescue operations. Sayed Ayaz Ali Shah and others told that the tall claims of political leaders and beaurocracy about the millions of development schemes have been failed the institutions but the heavy corruption and bribe opened all the truths during the rescue operations. They told that the tall claims of local party leaders and beaurocracy is the false and proved their inefficiency they said. When Journalist also contacted the Deputy Director Civil Defence and other administration they also refused to any help to the protesters. The relatives hired private divers from Larkana vicinity and found the dead body at evening, which was later buried late night. Meanwhile, a 10 year boy Ahad Ali the resident of post office Muhalla, was missing for two days in Kamber city on Friday, was found dead and fished out from a water pond near Kamber city. In another incident, unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fires on Mashooque Ali Gadahi (35) at Mirokhan city resulting he sustained the critical injuries in the jurisdiction of Miro Khan. The injured was rushed to CMC Hospital Larkana where the condition of wounded man was said to critical.
