Netherlands: July 27, 2012. (Global Christian Voice) A Pakistani Christian named Zafar Bhatti aged 42 was charged under blasphemy in garrison city of Rawalpindi on allegation of sending blasphemous SMS to an Islamic cleric.
Zafar Bhatti was employed in Pakistan Navy but discharged on health issues. He is illiterate and was working as sweeper in Pak Navy.
He is arrested for sending three blasphemous text messages from his mobile numbers to Molvi Abrar Ahmed.
FIR is registered on complain of Molvi Abrar Ahmed who is president of private schools association, and religious scholar of jmayet Ahle-Sunat . Zafar has been charged under Sections 295-C, in New Town Police station Rawalpindi.
Zafar’s arrest was fresh Monday evening there were several unanswered questions raised that why Zafar will send text messages to such a extemist Mulla like Molivi Abrar Ahmed.
