HYDERABAD, Pakistan: July 26, 2012. (By Abbas Kassar) Sindh National Movement Welfare Trust took out a rally in Hyderabad from Radio station to press club on Thursday which condemned the atrocities and violence against minorities in Pakistan especially Hindu minority in Sindh.
The rally was led by Malhi Shankar president of trust for Sindh. It was addressed by Malhi Shankar, Mumtaz Leghari, Azad Magsi, Jhangi Mallah, Asad Abro and Ghulam Rasool Umrani.
Malhi Shankar said the killers of Kanwar Bhagat must remember that this is not Sindh of 1947 but it is now 2012. Sindhis have awakened and would never allow any Sindhi or non-Sindhis to carry out cruelty or atrocities against Sindhi Hindus and would protect them by fighting against assailants like Hoshu and Hemoon.
Mumtaz Leghari asked to stop annoying Sindhi Hindus to leave Sindh and asked state to protect them. Azad Magsi said that converting Hindu girls under garb of religion after kidnapping them must be stopped.
Jhangi Mallah said we have tolerated much but would now fight against any kind of provocation. He asked state to stop its stooges Jagirdars, Waderas, Pirs and Mirs otherwise we also know how to use arms.
Asad Abro and Ghulam Rasool Umrani said there was much difference between those who were born here and those who had migrated here. They said that history proves that Hindus were in real sense the original heirs of Moenjo Daro. They said if there was talk of migration then those who have come here shall leave Sindh.
